We can't stop thinking about their soda machine. You can choose from a variety of flavors, and enjoy it out on their sweet downtown roofdeck with sweeping views, amongst friendly company. It's indicative of who they are - a refreshing, sparkling, start-uppy company that cares about the details that make day-to-day life enjoyable.
They're looking to usher into their happy little family a fulltime Product Designer - in this role, you'll be doing web design, ecommerce design, and participate in research. Your portfolio and case studies showcase responsive web design, as well as the full spectrum of your work - your visual design fundamentals (ie: systematic approach to typography and layout), high fidelity UI comps, your UX thinking (sketches, wires, flows, user research), and your iterative approach. You are great at describing not just "what" you designed, but "how" and "why" of your work and design decisions.
They connect customers with their favorite local small businesses, through POS software for in-store devices, a robust customer relationship platform, and beautifully designed loyalty apps. It's a huge, responsive design challenge within a complex ecosystem, involving multiple screens and devices, always thinking about the big picture of how they'll seamlessly interact with each other in both digital and real world interactions. As a Product Designer, you'll be joining their mission-critical design team of 5. You'll be a key member of the team dedicated to getting more of their devices into the hands of small businesses, and designing new features for their newly overhauled and beautiful website, including ecommerce functionality.
While they have the vibe, values, and ingenuity of start-up culture, they are a part of a network with large resources and infrastructure and huge market share, so you're in a small, nimble, entrepreneurial environment day to day, with the stability and backing of a larger company that lets them operate independently. Their offices are dreamy with clearly a lot of design thinking put into it for their employees happiness - in addition to the aforementioned soda machine and gigantic deck, they have electric standing desks, fancy coffee equipment, a sunny, well-stocked kitchen, and plenty of breakout rooms for collaboration. It's clearly a culture of makers and tinkerers - you can see it in their design, their blog musings, and the passion projects people have in progress on their desks.
